President Jimmy Carter
I stippled these portraits of Carter while he was in office. Shortly after I completed them, Carter changed the part in his hair to the other side due to thinning along the original, lifelong part line. I sent a copy to the Carter administration, but I guess it fell into the black hole of wherever this kind of stuff goes. Of course, I spent many hours with his face and got to know him pretty well—like a friend who sees all of your imperfections yet still thinks you're OK.
