Asleep

Asleep, the bounty of today just passes
By, adrift on seas of wakeful intent,
On limbo legs to leap as-yet crevasses.

No today need apply, morning harasses
Where evening began, pillows heaven lent,
Asleep, the bounty of today just passes.

A spider readies web in dewy grasses,
Lightly tensioned panic message sent
On limbo legs to leap as-yet crevasses

Onto proud, sated purpose one amasses
While somewhere in between. In moments spent
Asleep, the bounty of today just passes.

Purpose is vision without glasses,
Simple logic without refinement
On limbo legs to leap as-yet crevasses,

A symphony of woodwinds and brasses,
Early daylight sounds that came and went.
Asleep, the bounty of today just passes
On limbo legs to leap as-yet crevasses.
