Peacefulness

A pleasant thought just entered in my mind
That swept away all others in its path,
Peacefulness is not that hard to find.

On a tree, crudely carved, signed,
Me plus you equals ... do the math.
A pleasant thought just entered in my mind,

Taking me to places memory redefined
As quiet shelter from surrounding wrath.
Peacefulness is not that hard to find

In times of chaos, seeking ties that bind,
Old friends and frolic, memory that hath
(A pleasant thought just entered in my mind)

No remembrance of pain, the past consigned
To  heavy, dusty shelves of plastered lath.
Peacefulness is not that hard to find.

In my house the stars are all aligned,
Showering silvered light upon my bath.
A pleasant thought just entered in my mind,
Peacefulness is not that hard to find.
