Rising of the Moon

To the first one in the morning,
To the first one at night,
To the first one in the evening
Spies the Sun dip out of sight.

We'll pin a rose, a rose,
A big red rose,
Pin a rose upon his nose,
To the first one,
Spies the Sun dip out of sight.

To the first one in the morning,
To the first one at noon,
To the first one in the evening
Spies the rising of the Moon.

We'll pin a rose, a rose,
A big red rose,
Pin a rose upon his nose,
To the first one,
Spies the rising of the Moon.

Come a-runnin', come a-laughin',
Come a-singin' at noon,
Come a-runnin', come a-laughin'
At the rising of the Moon.

We'll pin a rose, a rose,
A big red rose,
Pin a rose upon his nose,
To the first one,
Spies the rising of the Moon.
